Conjugated semiconducting polymers are key active materials for printable electronics, sensors and biosensors, organic photovoltaics, light emitting devices, more. The research in the field developed very efficient sound structure property relationships, thus making a case transition from laboratory to industrial environment. At this critical juncture, sustainability, ease of scaling up at least as important performances, point that on lab scale could become unpractical industry. development more synthetic protocols complete removal all solvents both synthesis processing can help tremendously improve sustainability reduce costs. It is shown use an aqueous dispersion food grade surfactant lecithin medium, enables representative alternating copolymer poly (9,9-dioctylfluorene-alt-bithiophene) (PF8T2) high yield quality with transistor performances comparable those obtained reference synthetized processed volatile solvents.
